CALL for PAPERS

11th Urban Space and Social Life: Theory and Practice

Theme: Sustainable “Glocal” Space and Social Life

June 16 - 19, 2023

Conference Theme

Building on previous Urban Space and Social Life conferences, this year we seek papers that explore a timely and critical issue of our time: How have multiple and cascading challenges impacted our social life such as Covid-19, de-globalization, new international relations, social and environmental sustainability, responsible business and climate change. The conference invites research papers, case studies, policy proposals, and photo essays pertaining to topics that relate to the “new normal”.

To celebrate our studio’s (4C5M) emergence from COVID-19, the 11th conference also welcomes any paper related to our previous conference themes:

  • Quality of Life in Cites,

  • City Development, Preservation, and Hospitality,

  • City Development in Its Natural and Built Environment,

  • Projects pertaining to Cities and Identities,

  • Life Course & the City,

  • Transforming Urbanity: People and Cities on the Move,

  • Development and Heritage: Present, Past and Future,
